I have worked in HR/ER/IR through my career - starting as first point of contact for employers association members and writing and running training and moving to Employment Advocate in my early 20's. I have a permanent Certificate of Approval as a Private Investigator which allows me to undertake Employment investigations and have been doing this for decades. I have represented employers and employees when working independently as an Employment advocate for over a decade. This gives me insight and allows me to anticipate and understand both perspectives. I work to provide support to clients throughout any process. I have recently returned to being independent - with a twist - as I work with a Barrister & Solicitor as well as we both have applied and legal knowledge that compliments one another. I am pragmatic and believe the employment relationship and issues that arise, have a huge impact on everyone involved and therefore work with clients to resolve matters fairly, pragmatically and quickly. I have worked across all aspects of the people side of business so understand the complexity and implications of conflicts and resolutions. My experience across private sector, government, not for profit, education, manufacturing and many other sectors also helps me quickly understand the background, agreements and contracts. I can assist with training and mentoring leaders across the people aspect of an organisation and through change processes. Canterbury based but can cover whole of New Zealand.
